Creative Direction
Under the Asian Student Alliance (ASA), I organized the celebration for Diwali, the festival of lights at CalArts. This involved a film screening and talk-back, featuring LA based South Asian filmmakers who then joined us for a party involving live music and dance performances, DJs, photo-booths, henna stations, catered food, and drinks. This turned out to be one of our most attended events held so far, and was an absolute joy to work on, collaborating with amazing artists from the South Asian diaspora. This event provided networking opportunities for students at CalArts, which was a great way to give back and offer incentive, while enjoying the event.
